How the story ends... according to ochabrand - May 25, 2012

The Raven and the others argued for a very long time: their opinions were different and opposed one another. Everybody had a little of truth. They needed to preserve traditions, but things had changed a lot and it was very difficult, and they had personal reasons to do different from what they were supposed to.
The discussion ended when they were interrupted by the spirits of the old people.  They made all of them realise that preserving the old ways is as important as teaching others about them. So they decided to stay there, being proud of their heritage and duties, but also send a reproduction of the pole to the museum, where it could be admired by foreigners and others.
